Beaver Dam State Park in Nevada

Kevin Romney serves as the manager of Radiant Solar Solutions in Henderson, Nevada, a city southeast of Las Vegas. An avid outdoorsman, Kevin Romney of Las Vegas enjoys visiting state and national parks.

Nevada holds a variety of parks, including Beaver Dam State Park, a designated Watchable Wildlife Area and a popular destination for visitors hoping to spot great blue herons, porcupines, jackrabbits, turkeys, and mule deer. Open throughout the year, the park’s rustic natural beauty welcomes guests who like to camp, hike, or fish.

Beaver Dam holds two developed campgrounds, both with sites that have parking for one vehicle, a fire pit, and a picnic table. Guests can stay at either campsite for up to 14 consecutive days.

Fishing in the park requires anglers to have fishing licenses. The Nevada Department of Wildlife stocks the streams with rainbow trout, and guests are allowed to catch up to five trout per person.

Numerous hiking trails wind their way through Beaver Dam State Park. Overlook Trail provides hikers with beautiful views of the canyon, and Oak Knoll Trail gives visitors areas to stop for fishing.
